Hi there! I'm Diane, an award-winning photographer with a deep passion for capturing the moments that matter most—whether it’s the joyful wag of a dog’s tail, the first smile of a newborn, or the pure, unfiltered laughter of children. With over 20 years of experience in the world of photography, I’ve had the honour of working with families, pets, and individuals to create beautiful, lasting memories.

Photography is more than just my job—it’s my true passion. I believe in the power of storytelling through images and strive to create photos that are not only visually stunning but also emotionally meaningful. Whether I’m photographing a playful pup in the snow, a cozy newborn wrapped in love, or a lively group of children running through a field, my goal is always the same: to freeze those fleeting moments of love, joy, and connection.

As an avid animal lover, I specialize in pet photography and feel incredibly fortunate to be able to work with dogs and other furry friends. Pets have such unique personalities, and my aim is to capture their spirit, whether they're posing for a portrait or bounding through a field. I know how important pets are to families, and nothing makes me happier than delivering images that showcase their loyalty, playfulness, and heart.

In addition to pet photography, I also specialize in newborn and children’s photography. I understand how quickly these early years pass, and I’m dedicated to capturing the magic of these moments with patience, creativity, and a keen eye for detail. Whether it’s a peaceful newborn in their parents' arms or an energetic toddler chasing bubbles, I take the time to ensure every moment is as beautiful as it is authentic.

Lately, I’ve completely fallen in love with dance photography—especially incorporating special effects, artistic lighting, coloured gels, and even a touch of fog for that extra drama. There’s something so powerful about capturing dancers in bold, expressive poses, frozen in a moment of strength and grace. I’m constantly exploring new and creative ways to highlight their lines, movement, and artistry, turning each session into something dynamic, striking, and uniquely theirs.

This year I’ve had the honour of being recognized for my work in pet photography, earning several prestigious awards. My dog photography has been recognized with both Bronze awards and Bronze With Distinction awards by the International Pet Photography Awards or IPPA as well as the 2026 Canadian Choice Awards as Best Pet Photographer in Oshawa. 

As a teacher by trade, my commitment to professional development and my drive for excellence are at the core of my work, and I continue to evolve as a photographer to bring you the highest-quality images. I belong to several online educational groups where I participate in courses and challenges and other learning with other professionals.
